Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper signed a bill in 2016 that legalizes the collection of rainwater.

Here are 3 things homeowners need to know:

  1. You can collect rainwater for outside watering your garden or lawn.
  2. It can not be used for drinking or inside use.
  3. The capacity is 2 – 55-gallon barrels or a total capacity of 110 gallons.
